A Poem for the Restless Soul

Some nights are long
So we anticipate the dawn

Though sleep may come
for an hour or two
rest eludes us
the whole night through

What can we do
but wake and reflect
Cry out for help
and pray for some rest

The dawn will come
as it always does
Another chance
to change what was

Don’t fear the night
or the quiet eve
But embrace any hope
and let yourself dream
